This 32-page brochure for Advanced Bionics was designed to help
guide new users of cochlear implants through the initial steps
of hearing for the first time.
It was important to the client to use customer photographs, as
well as convey a large amount of information in a pleasing way.
I chose wide margins and open leading to make the large amount
of text readable. The open space is also indicative of the feeling
deaf people have when hearing for the first time: as if a whole
new world has opened up. The large format photos of smiling clients
also creates a friendly, welcoming aura.
Work performed:
layout and design
product styling
image selection and photo retouching
production and prepress
