Mallory McCreary Graphic Design Portfolio

I designed this CD insert for an indie rock band called MacArthur. The design is meant to evoke the romanticism of old and new: modern photographs of modern (but generic) settings treated in a dreamy, washed-out fashion that could harken back to an earlier time. The flat color blocks behind the type separate it from the photograph and yet closely match the color tone in the photograph, leaving the viewer to wonder: what is real and what is created? What is new and what is old?
